when i think about it a lot, the biggest challenge is always to figure if you want to make movies from your heart, whether they're "commercial" or not. Lots of people in Hollwd are really scared about picking projects that don't fit a kinda formula they know & they turn down lots of stuff, believe me!  Me, I've always stuck to my gun & made the kind of movies i want to make, even if it's pretty dark stuff so far. My first 2 shorts (Marked & Kara's File) & my feature "Faded Memories" are all about issues I care about. But it's really easy out here to do projects you don't believe in just to make everyone secure that it's going to make $$ and remind people of last year's hit.

Well, i'm gonna do to my thing as long as I can because i really believe we need some new stuff in theaters & on DVD that don't necessarily fit anything that has worked or not before.  Believe me, this can be a tough decision to hold on to your dream because everyone tryies to push you in one direction or another & to be a real artist, you gotta stick to your vision regardless of what anyone tells you. i hope i can inspire you guys a little to believe your dreams & stick to your vision not matter what, in movies or anything else you're into.  love, anne-sophie

hi everyone, i know it's a bit late but i hope you all had a great New Year wherever you are. We kinda stayed in California (weather was really hot this year) and took a couple of day trips, especially to our favorite place up North: Santa Barbara. As for news, i'm about 2 wks away from wrapping my 1st novel that'll be sending out to some agents & publishers in March. 

Going to Montreal, Canada in mid-february to launch Faded Memories there in French & English.  We're in pre-production of my 2nd feature that we're hoping to shoot in Canada nxt summer. So i'll keep you up to date on everything as usual and remember, never give up, don't ever listen to the naysayers & the people who put you down & believe in yourself 100%.  Love, Anne-Sophie
